Dear President Obama,

   I'm Auvelle. I am in the third grade. My school is George Mason Elementary. I am glad you are the new president of the United States. When you became the president I felt really happy for you. I'm glad you are the 44th president. My class and I voted for you and watched the Inauguration. We had buttons with your face on them. Can you make the war end and make Churchill better? I ponder the idea that you are going to be the best president ever. Do you like being president of the United States of America? Congratulations Barack Obama on becoming the president!

Dear President Obama,

   My name is Vanequa. I go to George Mason Elementary School and I am in the third grade. Congratulations President Obama, when I heard you were president, I was jumping out of my seat! When I went to school we voted for you and we saw your inauguration. I hope you can help the poor by building houses and helping them get jobs. I hope you can fix up my city and take the gas prices down. What is it like to live in the White House? I feel so happy for you because you have two cute daughters and a lovely wife. Congratulations I know you will do a great job!

I felt so surprised when you became the president of the United States. We voted at school and wore buttons with your face on them. We read a book about your life and family. We saw your inauguration on television. I would like for you to help our families do better and make the country a better place to live in. How does the White House look?    Hello my name is Dionte. I am in the third grade. My school's name is George Mason Elementary. I felt so happy for you when they said,"Congratulations Barack Obama the 44th president of the United States." Everyone in my classroom was clapping for you. We voted for you and saw you at the inauguration. We wore buttons with your face on them and we wore red, white, and blue. My teacher read a book about you. I hope you end the war before anymore people get hurt. Please make Richmond a better city to live in. Congratulations President Barack Obama, I feel so proud that you are the first African-American president. I have one more thing to tell you; I have 5 A's and 3 B's on my report card.

President Obama, it would be nice if you gave poor people houses to live in. Are your daughters home schooled or do they go to public school like me? Do you like being President? I really felt great when I heard you were our new president. At George Mason we voted; we put on buttons, and we wore red, white, and blue. I think it's the best way to show that we love you. I want you to help children understand that they have to get a wonderful education. I hope you help people understand that money is not important; life is important. I feel great now because I trust you. When you finished your speech, my family threw popcorn in the air and we cheered. Are you happy that you are our new president?
